Application Process
Employment with our company is secured on a competitive basis. In order to recruit staff who will match-up well with the jobs we offer, our application process has multiple steps:
Stage I
Submit application materials:
- Complete an application form on-site; answer all questions, sign and date the form.
- Submit your driver’s license and social security card for photocopying; these copies will be filed with your application and kept secure.
Stage II
Should you be given consideration for employment, we will invite you to attend pre-employment orientation sessions which will enable you to learn about our company and the work we do. The sessions will consist of both classroom and hands-on experiences.
Pre-employment orientation is an experience paid at the current level of minimum wage. Although it is a paid experience, participation in the sessions is not a guarantee of ongoing employment. Upon completing the sessions, you must be able to demonstrate an acceptable level of knowledge and driving skill in order to be progress to the next stage.
Please note that we will obtain reports summarizing your criminal background history and your driving records, including your commercial driving records if applicable. Your behavior and performance in these areas will be considered along with your performance in orientation.
Stage III
Should you be given further consideration for employment, you will need to pass a drug test and a physical as specified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. The regulations also require you to pass a driving test; orientation classes will help you to prepare for this.
Status of applications (updates)
Because we process a high volume of applications, we do not provide updates about application status and we discourage telephone inquiries. If you have not been invited for Stage II (described above) within two weeks’ time, we regret that you were unsuccessful on this occasion; we will keep your application on file.
